I would guess that sending in the V5 for an engine change accompanied with all the correct paper work, would not cause any alarm bells at DVLA.

I would be inclined to do this sooner rather than lat ...

Yes I have a warning light for the big Fan, the smaller one is controlled via the ECU so I leave that alone.

Warning light only gives a short warning, only had a fuse blow once whilst on the motorw ...

Rad in the back works for me.
I have been running this set up for 10 years now with no issues.

BUT as said it does rely on the fans, which are on a lot, so as long as they are fed with electricity ...

Just getting wind of the new requirements for the MOT as of 2012.

ACE are on the case as usual, but it seems VOSA are still trying to formulate what the new EU directive will mean for test stations ...
