hi folks got my water gauge in and just took alternator off to fit oil pressure switch but it fouls on the alternator is there anywhere else i can put this or have i got to tap the case

You can move it to the blanked off plug at the rear of the case if you've got space there

if it hits the alternator put an elbow union on it and you can cut the alternator bracket till it fits ,i did it about 5yrs ago and the bracket is still ok Wink

Look on eBay. You can buy replacement plugs for the Subaru oil galleries tapped with various threads to suit your sender. That way you don't need a T piece to fit both the gauge and the switch (unless you have one of the VDO senders which also has a switch built in.
