| I see svx conversions but they seem to always be done on syncro vans. Will the 3.3 fit under the engine lid on 2wd t25 using RJES engine support bar and bellhousing? Also is the newer 3.0 six cylinder a better fit? |

There is no particular reason why EG33 conversions often tend to be done to Syncro's. There are 4 EG33 powered buses in the UK as far as I know. Two on the road (a 2WD and a Syncro), and two being biult (also a 2wd and a Syncro - btw, the Syncro is in Jersey too, and is having a brand new EG33 engine).
The EZ30 and EZ30R engines are newer, higher tech 3.0 litre versions of the six cylinder. They are conmplex engines, with variable timing and lift, etc. Only the EZ30 (MY00 - MY03) is suitable for use in VW conversions currently, unless you are into CAN bus electronics, and like a challenge.
All 3 variations of the flat sixes should fit RJES engine mounts no problem.
Did you fix the current drain on your battery successfully? _________________ Regards,

Hello Simon,
Glad the battery drain is solved. There can't be too many NOS SVX engines around! - yes, it'll be the same one. I was watching it on eBay at the time too.
The exhausts are finished, and available now. I've been that busy for the last few weeks that I've not had a chance to put them on the web site yet. The sumps are ongoing..... _________________ Regards,

Hello Simon,
I noticed a customer who recently upgraded his Syncro by swapping the EJ22 engine for an EG33 currently has his old Syncro mount on eBay. I've e-mailed to ask whether it didn't fit the EG33 engine for some reason, or whether it maybe wasn't suitable for some other reason (such as moved the engine relative to the chassis, etc). _________________ Regards,

I just got areply from the guy with the mount for sale on eBay. He didn't use it because of the exhaust system he fitted to his EG33 engine, not because it did not fit the engine. _________________ Regards,
