Hello Bob,
Your SVX crew cab looks very interesting. Looks like you're doing a really noce job of it. Any more pics, particularly of the engine installation? I'm considering getting a crew cab. I already have a Subaru 2.5 powered Syncro camper. I manufacture bellhousings to join Subaru engines to VW transaxles (www.rjes.com), amogst other things. As far as I know, there are no SVX T25's on the road in the UK yet, although I know there are at least three undergoing conversion. Whereabouts are you based? Thanks,

Richard Jones

hi richard
i used 2''x2'' box section to make the engine cradel the gearbox is fitted with a kep adapter and presure plate and standard clutch plate

the engine and gearbox has been raised up 40mm to get more ground clearance

i spoke to you last year about being interested in the bellhousing, but tim from hsl racing had a sale on kep stuff !!
at the price i was offered i could'nt turn it down

if there are any photos you would like me to take please let me know
ps (im no david bailey) Grin

cheers bob

Hi Bob,
Sorry about the very long delay before replying. I wish I had more time to spend trawling the forums! I have since bought a Syncro crew cab, currently 2.1 wbx powered, but sooner or later it'll be Subarized. Ideally I'd line the 3.0 flat six from a recent Legacy B4 3.0, or outback, but as I've only ever seen about 5 Legacies with this engine, I think they may be a bit difficult to find! Hope your project is coming on well.

Richard

Hey bob - I discovered talking to doppelganger yesterday thet you are in fact Jay in Plymouth. I know you mentioned you'd spoken to me before, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Sorry!
I'll be in Plymouth around the weekend of the 5th of august for a wedding. It'd be cool if I could visit you and have a look at your conversion in progress, if I have time? Doppelganger reckoned you are progressing with it at a good rate?
Keep up the good work!

Rich
