95 ej20 turbo 4 cam sti
ello my engine's just about finished now and just got a couple of big exciting boxes arrive from rjes, anyway ive got one pipe that comes off the turbo thats not connected and i cant find what it goes too ( in the picture) also will i need to fit a swirl pot, talking to a mate and he said i might do seeing im running from a standard tank. cheers guys

Mmm?? looks a like a vacum size hose! Judging by the jubilee clip size I think a wider shot of the area is needed.... _________________ www.syncro-nutz.com

you dont HAVE to fit a swirl pot but you will prob find you will suffer fuel starvation when you go round corners or hard acceleration with low fuel in the tank.
personally i would do it...or you can just keep your tank full all the time!! |

I'm wondering if it's a heating/cooling pipe but I know SFA about the turbos.
It does look very similar to a NA throttle body heating pipe
As Sven said, can you do a wider shot please? _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

sorry guys, just took a better pic,its the one im pointing at with my grubby finger. it comes off the turbo just before the intercooler,just under the dump valve.definitly still want your maf rich,can pick up when convenient for your mate

For sure I would bet a burger, it's the control pressure outlet for the wastegate.
You're missing a rubber pipe going back to the inlet on the wastegate!

super job, cheers sven ,spent the most of last night scratching my head and hunting the interweb trying to find where it went. its going in my tatty 83 twin slider bus, well it is when it stops raining and warms up a bit (aint got a garage)
