If it's a distinct sound you can even find which cylinder that causes the sound by feeling with a standard flat screw driver. Just hold it loosely with your fingers and press the driver against the cover. It's pretty accurate and sometimes it's possible to feel which valve that causes the ticking.
EDIT: The adjustment is a really simple operation. Make sure the valve is closed (open up the spark plugs makes it easier) and then stick the "blade" - as Elusive wrote, either 0.20 or 0.25 (or 0.20 and 0.05 together) - in between the valve and the rocker (lifter). Then adjust with the screw on the rocker until it's tight. Don't tighten too much! You're supposed to be able to move the blade, when you feel a little bit of resistance it's perfect. |

Yup, go a page back and look at the last post _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

Wouldn't YOU rather learn by someone else's mistakes? So would they.

Unless you didn't for this conversion after all:
I checked earlier in the thread, you posted that it's a -95. All 95's are with hydraulic lifters. My fault. |
