I have a 74 Twin Slider Panel Van with a 2.0 Forester motor and a Red 9 Design front beam set up.
The Subaru installation was done by Beanie at A2B with parts mainly from RJES.
The donor car was a 99 Forester (Chelsea Tractor)
Once the bus was running OK I fitted a Red 9 Design twin wishbone coilover front beam which has improved the handling no end
I am about to uprate the gearbox from the original 1600 3 rib to an 022 6 rib 2.0 box plus a new clutch kit.
I will also be lowering him a little and maybe look at getting a cut down sump in the near future.
Here are some pics...
As he was before the conversion.
The 2.0 engine.
The T25 hatch for easy access.
The front suspension.
New shoes.

Love it! What do you think of the red9 set up? Drivability etc? _________________ www.faltownskateboards.com |

Cheers
The beam is great. Fully adjustable and handles like a large car (without power steering) The best thing is you can drink a can of coke whilst driving with one hand and you don't pour the drink over your head! |

Does it widen the front track? Do the wheels stick it out a little more? _________________ www.faltownskateboards.com |

No, I believe it is exactly the same as a stock beam. |

Brilliant stuff! I think the red9 kit looks liek a great up grade. i'm interested in one my self but I run air suspension so gotta work out if I can get the red9 set up running on air with out to much modifying before I think about getting one.
Great all round conversion though chap, I bet she's just like a modern car to drive now! _________________ www.faltownskateboards.com |

Yes, the radiator sits underneath with a scoop. There's a temp gauge on the dash and its been fine.
We will be trading at most shows so you should be able to find us for a nosey |
