I got around to doing the idle adjustment again after I did... um stuff. Air horn adapter / riser, mazda air filter, connected the PCV and charcoal canister properly. Stuff.

It's a little warmer now. Maybe because the scoop isn't on it right now. Still the fan is operational and kicks in for a little and switches off for a while. the temp hangs around the mid 90s. I really wish I could drive it to test.

I'm starting to think that maybe I might set up a second fan as a suck through. I'll just put it as far up the rad as possible and maybe put some fly screen or something on it as a stone guard, even though I know that'll make crud accumulate on the inside. All this depends on me actually figuring out where I can get small amounts of strap steel. I need it for other areas like repairing damage to the frame rail at the rear bumper mounts, and various bracketry.

It'll probably be the 10" Davies Craig lookalike OEM Pajero fan. The spec sheet for the Davies craig fans say they can be run as suck or blow.

I also have a suck and a blow fan from the Magna. I considered the suck fan, but I'd like to keep some ground clearance. It's body is a big pressed steal jobbie. Laugh Out Loud

While I'm here asking about fans, I have a questin about something I'm a little conflicted on. Is the fan supposed to turn on when the thermostat is fully open or below that point? Looking at the temperature gauge I can see the thermostat and the fan fighting, if you get my meaning.
