Haynes manual will tell you how to tighten it up.

Failing that:
1/ fit a front spoiler (kills air flow to an underslung Rad. Btdtgtts)
2/ Bedford rascal rack. Search on here and sweet talk Neil for the Buck. He spent blood, sweat n tears.
3/ vaux corsa EPs. Search again on here. Rb's done all the grafting

Try searching for "buck" or "rascal" by "neil-c"

EPS is electric power steering. I think its Rich Baker whose don't that.

I can't search that well as on mobile this weekend.

HI Elusive,

Once again you have helped me out..........

I tightened the steering box today and replaced the oil ....but i thin rascal rack isprobably the way to go

I swapped the water pipes around as per an earlier suggestion from you and have built a bigger air scoop ..............will get Wilma out on the road next week to test fully ....but early signs look good

Thanks again Hello

Just realised none of Riches pics were working since the move. Now fixed Grin

Some stuff on Riches Rascal/EPS set up HERE

I've just finished re-fitting my EPS/Rascal set up but have yet to take any photos... Just need to wire it up now I've robbed a corsa of it's connector blocks and 50amp fuse required to get it up and running!

Bays are always scare at speed, there was me thinking that maybe I hadnt guessed well enough the setup of my steering (My guess drives better than when tyre people set it up with a tracking gauge!)

I was wondering if there had be many conversions using a T25 steering box?

I managed to get hold of a T25 steering box that goes under the column but then when I went to thinking about what to do next I was a bit stuck.

I was thinking of fitting PAS to my Baywindow, had a mk4 polo rack but its too long to do anything with!

I have just replaced all of my tie rod ends and reversed them coz my bus is low so ideally looking for a solution to keep my linkage guard under the front (from the factory and still got it) yet somehow replace the drop link bar from the steering box with some sort of steering rack, then hook it up to the T25 box?

I think the big one is finding short steering racks to do the job at a cheap price!

have you tried your steering damper? this causes wandering at high speed and is usually knackered

I've used a clio steering rack with t25 bevel box and someone on here has used an astra rack, altough i'm not running bay suspension it doesn't wander about at speed really and thats at 70mph obviosly not on a public road Wink

i've got a astra rack on the split and that is wonder free but a good well adjusted steering box with oil in it, rod ends and axle centre pin with no free play and it should be wonder free at legal road speeds

Ummm, perhaps I'd better adjust mine then. My van drives like the "Yank road-trip movies on a straight road" scenario.

I thought they all did that

Done TR ends, steering damper and idle pin bush (fecker of a job)
