Hi mate , thanks for your comments, not 100% on the ratios of the 3rd and forth to be honest I just took bears advice! I have fitted the inline 8 pole speed sensor and activated cruise control with vag com, not driven it yet as trying to sort drive shafts! Not quite sure what to do as the stock bay ones are to long! Probably get some made as bay auto driveshafts are like rocking horse poo! Can I ask what you've done 13 window? Are you running bay hubs or bug hubs ? Al

Remember bay hubs will have bigger brakes and larger CV joints, when you upgrade, bigger is usually better.

When i upgraded my i went with bay hubs and drive shafts. I then modified it to take Vw touran rear discs.

loving the work, keep going summers comming.

thats what i did got a speed sensor of rjes and it nearly bang on had laptop on seat with vagcom running in measuring blocks and satnav on dash, indicated speed on engine ecu and sat nav was only a few percent off i found when i enabled cruise through vagcom it came up as being active in measuring blocks and all the pedal, dash cruise switches gave the correct binary signals but on the road the cruise came on and wouldnt hold speed for more than a second whatever i did (with no faults logged) ended up trying 3 ecu's all enabled ok but only the last 1 i tried (a metal cased ahu ecu) would work ok so i left that one in the van as it runs spot on cruise works ok and 40mpg Grin im running brazilian type2 a arms with late bay hubs 68 spring plates and a rear disk conversion so 100mm cv joints

Great stuff you seem to be ticking all the right boxes if you ask me, when do you aim to be on the road?

Keep the updates coming
