Calling "13 Window Deluxe" I need your brains

Im in the middle of fitting a Porsche 944 non turbo brake setup to my bus.
I've the easy bit done.
The Hubs and Discs and Calipers mounted onto my Bus Spindles.
However.
I remember you saying you have a Servo from a Golf fitted to your Bus
And like me. Your Bus is a LHD.

Do you think the 944 servo is too big to fit.?
What size is yours. ?

If by any chance did you take some photos of your servo installed ?
If you did. I'd be grateful to see them.

Here is my current predicament.

Unless I do what RubberChicken did.

And mount the Servo with MC on the right hand side and make up a linkage like he did.

Can you not fit a remote mounted servo instead?

I run the 944 master cylinder but without the servo on mine.

Thanks for the a reply Kai.

Looking at the price of VW Jim's Remote servo
it's 300 + about 20 to post to Ireland.
That's 320 pounds/ 383 Euro.
Not to mention pipes and fittings after that.

I figure if I persevere with the Direct Action Servo.
I'd save myself a few quid.

Looks like there's gonna be plenty of room on the right hand side of the front beam. (Absence of steering damper on that side etc)

If I can mount a linkage going Across to the left and swivelling from the action of the pedal push pin. If that makes sense.
I'll be in business. I hope.

Sounds like your going to make something similiar to the mark 1golf setup then. Looks very interesting what your going to achieve.

I didn't realise those remote servos cost that much.

hi on my van due to it being converted to rack and pinion i have the steering shaft running down the drivers side chassis leg and through the axle where the servo would usually be positioned so the servo has be located on the passenger side with a rotating type remote linkage similar to the one in the above photo. I had 3x vw golf servo's on the shelf, i think they were 7" 8" and 9" i went for the 7" one from a base model mk2 golf in the end as it easily cleared the handbrake cables and other junk under there. with the 7" servo i fitted and a 22mm master cylinder the brakes are nice and light with great feel

Ok.
Little update.
I've Mounted my Servo.
Made up a bracket and welded it to the Original Splitty Beam.
On the opposite side to the Brake pedal.

So. If you look at the beam painted green
Above. It's RubbaChicken's split with a bay beam.
Anyway. His servo is mounted opposite side also.
That linkage going from brake pedal/drivers side is from a Ford Fiesta I think.
Lucky enough. On my uncles farm. He has a '92 scrapped Ford Escort van.
I just checked there, SAME LINKAGE.
I'LL post pics once I'm in better signal. (updating from phone here)
Just have to remove it now.
The engine is still in the van.
So bit trickier.
