Help needed. Got my bay and an engine.

no one would ever do it tho due to the efforts involved.

I know people have fitted vw golf engines complete with gearboxes.

but you basically chop the rear from your van complete with suspension arms ect and fit all the front wheel drive stuff in the rear.

way too much hassle for a daily drive van

wWhy most don't use the trannies that came with their watercoolers is that they turn the wrong way: you'd end up having 4 or 5 gears in reverse.

Unless you change the ring and pinion (if possible) or choose a mid-engine mount type of swap. Meaning either lots of money, or lots of time. Probably both...
