What material to use as koolant pipes ?help

Im new to this site and looking forward to some usefull tips as a do my ej25 conversion With 5 speed subarugears
My 74 bus had been converted before using a dato 2lb motor lol served me well but now time for a new donk lol
When it was first converted COPPER pipes were used i knew no better and now worried that my alloy heads will suffer !
is this right as some say it will some no it wont ??
im a bit confused and want to do the best.
Any advice on what to use ? (it would be bloody good if i didnt have to replumb her again )

If you use a decent anti-freeze it will have anti-corrosion additives and I doubt you'd have a problem with any material in practice. I had absolutely no issues running copper pipes in an old conversion. I use steel now purely as I can weld brackets on and make it a bit neater. If I had a TIG I'd do ally.

I've used copper pipes in mine, been in there for 1.5 years and have no issues with corrosion.

I have had the copper pipes for around 8 years with the old dato motor didnt seem to hurt , my problems began when i had the engine reconditioned ...... far out within 12,000 km x2 heads cracked.
I put it down to the fact that the old head couldnt be planed anymore so the reconditioner found another and threw it on ..... i recon that one was Sh-t !

I was reading the Rhejs web site... they think copper is a big no no !
they do some good stuff i have read so thought they would know .

think i will get her going with the copper and change over to rubber when i set up rad under belly,
Does the rad have to hang down much ? seen some real grader type setups lol
