Hey all,
I have been watching the recent wave of flipped passat / A4 gearbox threads with interest, in fact I now have a 1.9tdi A4 in preperation for undoing all the hard work in my GTI conversion!
I noticed several posts refering to using the Boxster cable gear change mechanism as apparently the boxster uses the same gearbox casing. My question is, if the Boxster uses the same case, but is rear engined, could we use it instead of flipping the A4 box?
I dare say someone will correct me by telling me the porsche engine runs the other way or something, but I'm curious _________________ It WILL be ready for the summer, just like it was going to be ready for last summer. And the one before that... |

Ahh, maybe I jumped the gun a bit there, doing some research I realised the Boxster is mid-engined, oops... _________________ It WILL be ready for the summer, just like it was going to be ready for last summer. And the one before that... |

I don't know if this matters as I've no knowledge on the passat set up but I know the boxster box has the starter motor fitted on the engine rather then to the gearbox bell housing. _________________ Think......
