Lol.
Yes tank is out ready for me to drill and add fuel return. Keep forgetting to check size of fitting required for the Passat fuel line.  |

Engine bar/mount fabricated. Needs a rub down and repaint.

Engine on engine mount. One side needs raising an inch. Need to trim the bottom from the bell housing to give more clearance.

I have succumbed and going to send the loom off to be altered.
Exhaust to think about next. Anyone have any photo's/plans etc of what bits and lengths required. ?

that must make one hell of a noise to go from two big boxes to a single dinky single,still looks good lol

not noisy at all, tdi's due to the turbo chewing up the resonance are not as noisy as petrol engines or other diesels.
if you hear any of the chavved up tdi cars with straight through exhausts that are normally followed by a black smokescreen its a different sound to a standard exhaust but its nothing like the noise of a big bore exhaust on a corsa or a straight through system on a diesel landrover
when I first finished the conversion i took the van for an mot with a similar length of exhaust pipe but with no silencer on it whatsoever, it sounded exactly like an old diesel railway shunter and the turbo whistle was louder than anything.
The mot man would have passed it on the sound but suggested that I fit a silencer of some sort just to make it resemble the original visually.

I stand corrected that's a bit of usefully information, it will make life a lot easier if I don't have to work out how to refit the big exhaust boxes
