79 tdi doublecab

This is my first post on here but I've been reading through through the build threads for a while and getting ideas.
I started rebuilding this 79 doublecab 2 years ago so it has been a bit of a longterm project that I have been working on between other projects.
When I started it was going to be fairly stock just slammed with an lawn mower engine until I had a spin in a tdi bay with a flipped audi box and decided to change direction a bit.

I started back on it a few weeks ago after after a break of 9 months and I am determined to get it on the road for summer.ive put an early front panel on it along with early front arches and I have plated the rear light openings and cut the out for a set of early tail lights.
It was completely rotten when I got it so I've replaced all outriggers and jacking points the complete rear floor (cab area) 2 front arches,cab floor sections both sides,front bumper bulge replaced with an early inner valance.
2 new rear corners,inner middle and outer cills on both sides and some rear arch sections.

I finally got around to pulling the engine out of my 99 passat 90 bhp last week and dropped it in to start planning the next step.

Looks good! This will be one to watch, I can tell. You seem to have plenty of interesting projects to keep you busy in your workshop! Best of luck with it all and thanks for sharing.

Cheers moominbus too many projects that's why this one has taken so long.

I picked up a corsa b eps unit at the weekend and got the linkages sorted between it and the passat steering column,I've bought a Bedford rascal steering rack on ebay yesterday so as soon as that arrives I can figure out the best location for the eps unit and make up a frame to mount it too.

Got started on my adapter plate too.
