ive got myself a t25 2 ltr type 4 with an auto box . id like to change it to an aaz . where do i start ? any build threads similar to this situation i could have a look at ?

I'm not totally sure myself however I believe you will need pretty much all parts from a turbo diesel T25, engine mounting bars, diesel bell housing, radiator and pipes, you'll need most of the turbo Diesel engine parts from a JX, so sump, dip stick, exhaust manifold, exhaust, engine mounts. Probably a poo load more stuff too.

Just find somebody breaking a turbo diesel t25 and you'll be laughing.

I'll have a 3H diesel gearbox for sale soon however I doubt you'll be wanting to covert from an auto to a manual as well.

thanks for the reply . i did find someone breaking a watercooled t25 and managed to get all the water pipes and the rad . im still on the look out for other bits and bobs . im planning on making it a manual as the t25 auto box is utter gash . so my nex question is . whats the best enging to mate up to a passat flipped box ?

You can fit any of the vag engines, even a Porsche flat 6. Petrol or diesel. World is your oyster really. Depends on how much fabrication work you want to do. Ultimate engineering sell complete DIY conversion kits for the AFN 1.9tdi. That's pretty much what I did apart from I got them to do the conversion too as I just don't have the time to do that work at the minute.
