Hello hello. I was wondering if any one could help me out. I've just got me girlfriend a tidy little pug 205 diesel van as a little runner about and it runs drives really well and we're pretty pleased with it. The one thing though that is puzzling me is that the little temp symbol (Right of the indicator symbol on the dash) flashes on quite regularly?
The rad looks mint and there does seem to be any leeks and the header tank is full! Infact the only exlanashion I could think of was that there is too much water in the header tank so it is tripping the sensor sooner????
Oh yer heating works great too and the fans come on.

does this 205 have a temp gauge as well as the warning light ,,, if not i would get one to be on the safe side about 30quid which is far cheaper than if it overheats ,,,, look on the thearmostat housing there should be a sensor sometimes two one = sometimes a no water sensor ,,,,,,,,,another to turn the fan ( if not one on the rad ) sometimes there might be a blanking plug where you can put sender for a temp gauge ,,,,,,,, also check behind the offside front wheel above crank pulley steel water pipe can rust badly , you might find plastic cover hiding it _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington

Check that the radiator is not blocked (run your hand over the matrix when it has been run for a while), this is a known problem where the waterways crust up inside.
My girlfriend ran one of these quite a few years ago, and the fan hardly ever ran, so your's could be getting too hot.
