hello;

for my bug, i've bought a EJ20T from a 04 WRX subaru...
the pb is that a friend tryed put all my stuff (ecu, transponder and his key) in his subaru that have the same ref of ecu
the car start, idle 1 second and stop...
with all his things, work perfectly...
so we think of a pb of synchro between the key and ECU...
i read somewhere it sometimes happend when key is not used for long time...

does anybody know any procedure to synch all together...?i know it exist in subaru concession, but i can't go with only the ecu and key, they will look me Eeeek

thanks for your help

fred

You need your transponder for your ECU. (Is you post a typo?)

Scoobies run for approx 1 sec then die if the ECU can't see the correct transponder. Once they're started you can remove the transponder.
Mine (98 EJ20) doesn't like the transponder taped onto the aerial. I taped it to a large screwdriver, wrapped in pipe lagging, then stuffed into the aerial.

Your experiences are worth shed loads to others, including the f'ups - live and learn.
Wouldn't YOU rather learn by someone else's mistakes? So would they.

Bugger, missed out on "Live fast, die young"
