I've heard a strange noise coming from around the Throttle body/coil/manifold sorta area.
It occurs at an interval of 5 - 5.5 seconds at idle (not random intervals). A quiet "Tick tick" (two ticks, duration of about as fast as you can say it) sounds like an electrical spark.
I've ruled out HT as it's every 5 - 5.5 seconds or so.
Everything's running fine but any ideas as to WTH it is? _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

Do the revs change with the ticks at all? If so it has to be the ISC valve. If not, and it could be coming from slightly further away, it's probably the canister purge solenoid. I've never heard mine click, or found any info about under what conditions they open. However, it's nost likely at idle, as that's whenb there is the most vacuum (apart from over run). _________________ Regards,

Watcha Rich, long time no hear!
ISC? I assume that's Idle Air Control, nope it's not that *. I actually haven't got my head in there again since posting. Van runs and idles as sweet as. The clicks don't affect idle at all.
The PCV operates during overrun, not too sure about at idle.
I might pull my finger out this weekend and actually have a gander & will let you know.
* Still getting a ECL for idle air during slowdowns, it only occurs when the engine is up to temp, not when cold. This is after I removed & cleaned the bugger. It's not affecting performance/idle though _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
