porsche gearbox question

Am planning on fitting a WRX into my T25, which has a 5speed deisel box in at present.

Question :- Would a porsche 901 gearbox 5 speed fit ? Dont know anything about porsche boxes except they are supposed to be strong.

If this is doable what sort of cash are we talking for the box ?, i have an offer of one but not sure whether its good value or not, any input appreciated.

Not sure about fitment in a T25 but anythings possible. Porsche boxes are a bit stronger than VW but you have to look after them, so keep them topped up with oil, keep them cool, and make sure the lay shaft pilot bearing in your flywheel is OK.
A decent 901 box with service history will cost from £600 to £1K.
Make sure you have some history with it as a rebuild will cost about the same.
