alfa 33 in an italian 77 bay.

Hi Guys,
first some introduction:
I'm Hans from Holland, had several vw's and currently cruising a '84 shoebox with a 1Y engine:

A friend offered me his project, and I could not resist the price, so here I am with a 77 bus with 2 alfa engines (a 1.3 alfasud and a 1.7 ie). I chucked in the 1.3 alfasud engine in first to get it driving for MOT. I need to connect all the wiring and weld the exhaust, and then it should run.

so, an hour and a half later getting some parts and connecting some wires we have a runner!
costs so far: 15 euro iginition parts and 20 euro on fresh oil.
nexr steps are welding the exhaust, conncting the cooling hoses and some sort of expansion tank for the water, plugging the alternator and I think we can go for a drive then!

I used a complete 146 exhaust because it came with the bus. Cut it up en used only the end muffler, no need for a cat, since I don't live in California unfortunately. I did leave the lamba sonde because it might come handy at a later state...
I need to finish the welds, will do that tomorrow...

Lol....yeah, sadly it's pretty quiet around this part of the forum.

I think it's cool.. You know what top gear says...:

finished exhaust:

Did some plumbing today aswell.
scored a expansion tank from an old alfa. The previous owner placed a rad on the front, but that will move to under the car..

filled up the header tank, installed the alternator, and things keep improving! Now i'm waiting on my electric fuel pump, and some other minor things I need to do and then it'll cruise if I'm lucky!
