Ride : 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Diesel Engine
Details: Bus is up and on the road at the mo though is very much a rolling restore with different coloured panels everywhere. Hope to get panels all straight and fit 1.8 TD over the next few months.

Details: Bus is still in the works - air suspension adn brakesall fitted, engine trial fitted with box - im now working front to back underneath doing wiring, plumbing and any other jobs. Aim is to get to the back and have everthing in place to fire it up and resolve any issues before stripdown and painting. More details in Kool rides section.

Has 996 brakes, 993 cup 2 wheels, reprofiled dash for subaru instrument cluster, stock gearbox! with heavy duty (reversed, trans forwards 46mm) rear cradle and berg style mid mount, subaru chargecooler, Pace cosworth radiator (for 500bhp track car!), adapter kit from DS tuning

Description: 1972 pannel van/camper call Mia Frankenbus.

It is a working project and it has been my daily driver for the past 2 and half years. It has a Ford 1.8D engine run off of 2 VW Golf radiators and on a type 2, 2litre gear box. I cam cruise on the motorway at 70-80mph and have hit 100mph down a hill all this and I get 45mpg out of her. I have air suspension at the front and KYB's on the rear (to be air baged in the near future).

Body mods: I have welded and smoothed all the seems from the van and I have lowerd each bummer 2". I have completly smoothed the front pannel over and I am prepairing to fit windows and a sun roof in the roof I also have built a custom dashboard which houses the ford escort heater matrix and controles.

I do all the work on my bus my self with my Dad and of course a little help from my friends.

Ride : 1954 oval on '73 1303 chassis, Subaru EJ 20 T engine, Porsche 915 gearbox, 944 N/A brakes (for the moment, upgrade to 944T's on the cards). Centre cut out of torsion tube to allow gearbox to be moved forward to ensure engine fits under stock panels.
Still loads more work to do. Grin

Description: 1972 Bay (Dormobile) undergoing restoration - Idiot bodging tw*t of a previous owner has delayed the process considerably (sure that sounds familiar) it was supposed to be on the road months ago. At least I get to go through it myself and get it right though. Once restored, primered up and fitted with diesel power it'll be my daily driver - can't wait!!!

Nice paint job and camper interior to follow once its in use.

Stock shell with, 911 front suspension coupled to chassis with custom built mounts and 7" body drop, 2" raised floors to accomodate McPherson struts, 996 vented and cross drilled disks, Porsche Cayenne 6 pot monoblock calipers, 944 rear suspension mounted to custom built 7" body drop rear chassis, 944 rear disks with Cayenne 4 pot monoblock calipers, rolling on 18x7 front, 18x10 rear Kenesis 3 piece split rims.
Porsche 901 5-speed gear box and EJ22 Legacy engine with Kennedy adapter plate.

Ride: 1972 Westfalia. So far i (with the help of a friend) have repaired the bottom 6" all round. Replaced the front panel and got rid of the lip at the bottom to make it look smoother. I am concentrating on getting it ready for the mot at the moment. When its passed i'm looking at deleting the high front indicators thinking of changing the rear lights and removing the gutters. I also want to update the brakes lower the suspension and update the gearbox (how i dont know) then i'm on to the engine conversion, again not sure which engine to use.
