No not yet. Lost all gear change last week. Wouldn't go in gear then just decided it would start working !!! Clutch seems to be slipping in 4th and 5th occasionally as well. Taking the gear box out and checking clutch etc at the mo' . |

Hmm...
sorry to hear that mate! Must be a PITA taking it all out again.
So, you can get to the right position with the stick, it is just the box that won't slide into the proper gear? Does it Grind when you try?
it really is the box, rather than the selection mechanism?
How much oil did you put in the box? How did you do the breather?
Who milled off the 15 mm of your gearbox?
Really hope it's an easy fix. Can imagine you don't take it out cruisin being unreliable like this.

Mmm yes. No wear on the clutch.
Sometimes 2 clunks.
Another look at the selector. The rod is under the axle that holds the torsion bars. Doesn't seem to be fouling ?
Breather is blocked off. Long pipe, through a petrol filter so I can see what is happening, up into air intakes at back.
Going to check gearbox oil level today.
Tim milled off the 15mm. |

Well we checked the clutch, no wear. A relief really. Checked no air in hydraulics, all okay.
Changed the slave cylinder as couldn't think of anything else. After 450 - 500 miles after doing this there has been no troubles from the gear change.
Hopefully cured. |

500 miles.. I would think that's a win!!!
Maybe the release of the clutch just wasn't enough to give the gears free.
How much oil do you have in the gearbox?

I haven't checked gearbox level since it was done as problem has been solved. Was just upto filler when done.
Sorted reverse lights :-) |

Yes wiring was incorrect. Needed to be blue to lights and blue black to ignition live from the reverse light switch. |

| Had an intermittent loss of power problem. Thought it was the turbo. Turbo was all okay. Ended up being the MAF sensor. |

Computer didn't throw up any codes. Doesn't always show these with MAF. Swapped parts but have since learnt you can give it a clean with surgical spirit and this sometimes works. |
