I got to be honest it was the worst MOT in history the guy was in total awe of the bus basically getting all his mates to come and have a look. He was a ford man owning a Mk1 Escort with a Cosworth engine so loved the fact I had a ford lump in the back.
TBH I was rather hoping for a strict tester that would go through it pretty thoroughly after all the mods. It wasn't until I was under it when it was on the ramp that I realised just how many mods I had done.
7 years is a bit long I have to say hopefully it'll be worth the wait...
Will try and get a video at the weekend and try and capture the cool sound of the whooshing Turbo _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)

On the whole pretty good engine is running well but clutch is slipping so will need to pull the engine and get to the bottom of that, I assume it has something to do with the spacer I put behine the pressure plate... hopefully something has settled down and I can just remove the spacer and it will all work fine !!!
Other issue I had was rear end was bottoming out on bump stops (if I had them is) so I have raised the rear end by a spline (high is the new low) and plan to get some decent adjustable shox for the rear when funds allow.
Got my Nieces prom next week so just focusing onn getting it sorted enought for the 10 mile round trip for now then I can finish of all the bits of wiring etc...
Does drive really well though and turbo certainly gives the kick it was lacking before and it sounds pretty cool.
Will get round to doing a video honest.... _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)

I can't believe that after 7 years you took it out in the rain!
I looks stunning.

Engine out to try and fix slipping clutch
Foolishly been given a deadline of getting it ready for camping mid July !
Hope this is an easy fix. _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)
