Right peeps, i've been away scumballing again and not done owt to the van so it is looking unlikely that we will be in it. Cue the gf's maroon bug and our awning! We have tickets but we will need to conform numbers to the camping manager - has everyone already sorted their camping? if NOT, please commit to VWKD club camping below by copying and pasting the names. (apols JP if you are sorting this also)

too late is the cry!
according to this
http://www.justkampers.co.uk/kamperchat/showthread.php?t=109170
all club camping has been allocated so get ordering your general camping tickets and we will have to arrange to meet up prior to entry or save a corner of a field as best we can.. _________________ '79 Bay running citroen 1.9td and phat tyres! |

Sorry haven't been online for a bit after doing back in and then Tonsillitis
I hadn't organised any kind of club camping as there wasn't enough interest from here
I'm guessing your plan (Dan) is best.. I have met up with a few people on route in the past and managed to all camp together in general camping.. spacing ourselves out a bit so others coming later can squeeze in. _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)

ummmm I think not unless I bring it up on a trailer
A mate has been doing a bit of work on it for me and I need to update my thread with some pics.. it does at least look like a bus again now as it has a front panel on, also the rascal steering rack is in place and hoping to get the EPS column in this week for fully functioning power steering
I'm in the process of moving house atm so sorting all my crap out... boy am I a hoarder of rubbish... once moved I've got a big DIY project with the new house to get on with so all in all my van at van fest is not looking good but at least there is some good progress on it atm thanks to my mate Jace _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)

its a poor show when the founding members havent got a working van between em year after year
im up for going up for the weekend if you are JP...can take the chip van if you like and kip in that. Im not going in Js van after last time...these unreliable watercooled engines got me in all sorts of trouble last time. |

Def up for a weekender.. if you got a tow hitch on the chip van I'll borrow bro inlaws trailer and take my bus and kip in it
Maybe take some kit and see if anyone fancies helping me finish it over the weekend
What do you mean.. you have a shiney example of a fully MOT'd WKD with engine transplant ! You should take that to V'fest with a nice 10k price tag on it _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)
