Im fitting a 96 ej 2.2 into my rather heavy syncro camper,

Does anyone have any thoughts on fitting High-flow thermostats in this case?

Stock Subaru stat all the way. Don't use aftermarket ones by all accounts.

See http://www.rjes.com/html/subaru_thermostats.html

Definitely no need to swap the thermostat because the engine is in a Syncro. They cool fine inmy experience.
