Hi, i've got a pair of alloy arms but the bottom shock mount is missing, what thread and size are these ? I assume something like M16 and might be high tensile steel... but not sure...

If they are M16 then would it be possible to enlarge the top shock mount hole on the shock tower to the larger size ?

on my early aluminium 944 arms it appears to use a bolt to hold the shock on, and not a stud and nut, there appears to be a threaded insert deep inside the arm. From memory the thread is M16 but it's been a while since I looked...

I found the thread is M16X1.5, allfix gave me M16X2 and i partially mashed up the threaded insert (helicoil)... so had to get an M16X1.5 tap (unobtainable unless in a complete set)

Hi

I have the Porsche parts program PET5 on my PC. It says that the bolt is M14 x 1.5 x 85.
