Well, now i am a happy camper.
Engine conversion are done and its running nice.
A friend of me milled the adapter plate and i did the rest myself.
Im surpriced over the noise level inside the camper, its much lower now

Now its time to fill the Diesel tank and see how much it uses

Well.
Its time for an update. Drove about 10000 kilometres last year. Was running nice and giving good milage.

This year i thought i would make it legal also. Sent in an application to get it approved with the 1.9 td engine. Got answer, they could not accept it. to much hp and torque
sent in a new application but now with a NA 1.9 diesel. Got a GO yesterday.

So now its time to change engine and get it tested Happy

Got it aproved so now its legal with the 1,9D. Also put two polo radiators in the engine bay. Seems to work ok. Just miss the torque of the TD.

Two years since last update.
I did run the NA diesel for a few weeks but it sucked :-)
Put the Td back in and been a happy camper since. Still running twin radiators in the engine bay and its been good. Only running a bit cold in cold weather.

Only bad thing is vibrations in the gear shift rod.Its worst at 80 kmh. It was not to bad with new bushes but they worn out in a month or so. Thinking about a cable shift system now

Not sure if it'll really help with the gearshift vibration - but I did drill out the gearbox mounts which mount at the bell housing end. I found they were extremely stiff (aftermarket - original wern't much better) so I made them honey combed a bit like the engine mounts on my engine. I found the front gearbox mount was far more forgiving.
