Whats needed from the donor vehicle (apart from the engine) when fitting a pug 1.9td into a T25?
Is any of the donors wiring needed etc?

Happy Hi , few things that should help out , water header tank , heater plug relay with wiring , oil pressure sender wire with plug that connnects to pressure sensor , exhaust down pipe , starter wire + one that runs to the alternator ,,,,,,,,,, think that should do for now , what's the donor vehicle or have you not got it yet ,,,,,

Regards Phil

Cheers,
i've not got it yet just throwing around a few ideas.
The scrappy near my parents had a turboed 1.9 pug motor that had already been removed from the vehicle so wondered what else i'd need to get aswell.
Think the engine was £90 with only 48k on it.

Will do. Where would the code be? On the block i assume.

I'm busy repairing a T25 camper for a neighbour and he's got a pug 406 with the 2.1TD in it. Engine is still running sweet as a nut but the cars electrics and body are starting to die. Possible engine donor me thinks. Wink

Happy engine codes were riveted to the block just behind the injection pipes ,,, on later ones stamped to the right of the oil filter ,,

Is the 406 2.1td fly by wire or throttle cable Happy

Not sure about the 406. Not opened the bonnet to be honest as its not my car.

I've just been offered a gearbox from a 2.1 caravelle off a mate. An AAP code one.
Any idea if a 1.9td pug lump would be man enough to cope with the 'box?

Just got to get the van to put it in now. Wink

Happy yes thats the best box for the job , my camper runs the same ratio with just slightly oversize tyres as I used to tow quite a bit with it , best for motorway cruising Happy

snap the AAP box up if it's good and less than £650-700.

they are so popular within the wedge fraternity, if you don't use it i guarantee you will make money on it.

I've recently snapped up an AAP myself and will be increasing my rear tyre size from 205/75/15 to 225/75 or 80/15 later in the year.

The turbo 1.9 td gives a nice response and are common as muck. I'm toying with the idea of 2.1 next year if i can find a suitable donor. Grin

Missed out on a local MOT'd/taxed but engine less doka for £750.
