Hi , I got these pumps in and thought it be good to show how some people remove or cut them open ,, sometimes it can be done neatly with out removing the pump , very careful on the Bosch pumps= just above were the shut off solenoid is , there is the fuelling adjuster screw ( arrowed in pic ) which is surrounded by the immobiliser shielding if you hit the shielding with hammer and chisel you may damage the top of the pump ,, there'll be a circuit board that needs to be pulled out so you can access the shut-off solenoid ,, to do this job correctly I'd remove the pump and withdraw the anti tamper snap head bolts
Lucas
Will try add some better pics when I get chance _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington

chuck them in the bloody bin
once the shielding is cut away enough you'll see the black box that holds the immobiliser , this is held in position with two allen screws , you'll prob find doing it on the engine that you'll only be able to get to one screw - the other can then be chiselled out (carefully) I broke out the box of tricks and at the rear is the wire that feeds the solenoid ,,,
you might be able to see on the lucas pump the solenoid looks a bit different this has two wires - does not seem to mater which - ground one and put an ignition live to the other , the immobiliser circuit is not in the way as its attached to the rear side of the pump _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington

The shielding on the Bosch pumps differ slightly , the pic above that shows the fuel adjusting screw ( red arrow ) on some a roll pin thats fitted to the shielding fits the fuel adjuster screws locknut ,
the best way to remove the roll pin is to use a grinder with a fine cutting blade , making a cut either side - the roll pin can then be safely removed , remember to rap the rest of the pump up to keep it clean ,
The anti tamper snap head bolts only need a good tap with a hammer then with a dot punch tap them round to release them _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington
