I have got a T25 that I have put a little bit tuned Subaru EG-33 engine in together with a Renault UN1 transaxle with a Quaife LSD in.

I have read everywhere about people are using so-called 108 drive axles in their cars.

What is a 108 driveaxle and why is it better than the standard driveaxle?

Grateful for response because at the Swedish forum, it seems to look like nobody knows...

stock cv joints are 100mm. the un1 and porsche 915 tranny has 108mm cv joint which are bigger diameter and wider to take more torque without busting

the 100mm cv joint has 33 inner splines and the 108mm cv joint has 28 splines and is wider hope this helps

Thanx for the information!

One final question...

Whitch cars are equipped with 108 drive axles in stock (more than the Porsche and Renault transaxles you told me about)?
Maybe there is some car outthere which axles is the same length as on a VW T25?

You know, we are just a handful people in Sweden doing swaps - or real mechanic work in general - nowadays. People are in general happy if they can replace the side mirrors...

I think you'll having a problem ahead. To find any 108 joints at a reasonable price.

Make your own, it's not that hard. Happy

930 CV joints is that what is in stock on 16" Syncro T25/T3:s?
Or what cars does they come from in stock?

Are they maybe better than 108mm CV joints?

Is it possible to fit them on a lowered T25?
